Willmar forward Keller signs NAHL tender

Blake Keller played in the 2022 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament.

The Willmar WarHawks of the NA3HL are proud to announce that forward Blake Keller has signed a North American Hockey League (NAHL) tender agreement with the Shreveport Mudbugs of the NAHL’s South Division.

Keller, 19, is in his second season of junior hockey, which began last year with the NA3HL's Granite City Lumberjacks before finishing out the 2020-21 season with the Texas RoadRunners.

Keller spent the first part of the current 2021-22 season with the Minnesota Loons before joining the WarHawks before the trade deadline. The 6’2"/181 lb. native of St. Cloud, MN has 45 points in 42 NA3HL games played this season between the two teams.

He was selected to and played in the 2022 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament for Team Black, where he had a goal in two games.

Prior to playing in the NA3HL, Keller played for St. Cloud High in Minnesota.

A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders, which include two (2) tenders exclusively used on players from the NA3HL - plus or minus any trades - which became active on November 1st. Tendered players are not eligible for the 2022 NAHL Draft.
