Rhinos win Game 1 of South Finals, 3-1

El Paso Rhinos goalie Camden Pendleton made 51 saves in a 3-1 win in Game 1 of the South Finals.

South Division Finals, Game 1: El Paso 3 @ TX RoadRunners 1 (El Paso leads series, 1-0) – Rhinos goalie Camden Pendleton made 51 saves to lead his team to a 3-1 road win in Game 1 of the South Finals. The series now shifts to El Paso for Games 2 and 3.

The Rhinos took a 1-0 lead in the 1st period as Connor Thompson scored on the power play for his 3rd goal of the playoffs.

The lead swelled to 3-0 in the 2nd period as Blake Polifka and Tristen Elmhurst added goals for the Rhinos.

Pendleton’s shutout bid lasted until the final moments of the 3rd period when Jaron Ketterman scored on the power play for the RoadRunners lone goal of the game.

Hunter Hein made 29 saves in the losing effort.
