Granite City forward Mountain makes NCAA commitment

The Granite City Lumberjacks of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that forward Nick Mountain has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for Gustavus Adolphus College next season.
Mountain, 19, just completed his first season of junior hockey in the NA3HL with the Lumberjacks. The 5’11/190 lbs. native of Maplewood, MN, played in 38 regular season games during the 2021-22 season where he put up 15 goals and 13 assists for 28 points.
He also had three points in nine Fraser Cup Playoff games as Granite City made it all the way to the Fraser Cup Championship game.
“Nick was great for us all year. He truly started to hit his stride with his game towards the end of the year. He’s a great person on and off the ice. We are excited to see the impact he will produce with Gustavus next season,” said Lumberjacks Associate Head Coach DJ Vold.
Prior to playing in the NA3HL, Mountain played high school hockey in Minnesota for the Hill-Murray School.
Mountain is the first Jack from this year’s team to make an NCAA commitment.
