Willmar forward Luedtke makes NCAA commitment
The Willmar WarHawks of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that Top Prospects forward Ben Luedtke has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for Concordia College in Moorhead, MN.
Luedtke 20, just finished his second and final season of junior hockey in the NA3HL. The 5’9/172 lbs. native of Wayzata, MN, appeared in 73 career regular season games in his two seasons and recorded 56 points.
The 2021-22 season was a big one for Luedtke as he tallied 47 points (18 goals, 29 assists) in 40 games this past season for the WarHawks. Ben Luedtke showed his leadership ability by being named and serving as captain for his age out season as well. He was also selected to and played in the 2022 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament.
Luedtke began his junior hockey career with the North Iowa Bulls (NA3HL), before being acquired by the WarHawks around mid-season of the 2020-21 year.
“Ben is a prime example of the kind of development that can take place here in Willmar when you have a player who carries a highly motivated work ethic like Ben has from Day 1 that he joined us back in the middle of 2020-21 season. One of our hardest workers and greatest leaders on and off the ice without a doubt! We look forward to seeing him perform at the next level as a Cobber,” stated WarHawks Head Coach Connor White.
The WarHawks congratulate Ben Luedtke on his college commitment to Concordia (MN) joining former WarHawks head coach Kirk Olimb and wish him all the best as his hockey career continues to move forward.
