Peoria goalie Doran makes NCAA commitment

The Peoria Mustangs of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that Top Prospects goalie Andrew Doran has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for Utica College.

Doran, 20, just completed his second and final season of playing junior hockey in the NA3HL with the Mustangs. The 6’0/170 lbs. native of Orchard Park, NY, had a very solid season with the Mustangs in 2021-22, going 10-2-0 in 13 games played, which included a 1.75 goals against average and a .934 save percentage.

Doran also made his NAHL debut during the 2021-22 season with the Springfield Jr. Blues, making 22 saves and stopped two of three shooters in a shootout in a 4-3 shootout win over Kenai River on December 17, 2021.

Doran’s season with the Mustangs during the 2020-21 campaign was even better than this past season. In 9 games played, he went 8-0 with a 0.98 goals against average and a .956 save percentage.

He was also selected to and played in the 2021 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament for Team Krampade where he appeared in two games.

Prior to playing junior hockey in the NA3HL, Doran played outh hockey for the Buffalo Jr. Sabres.
