Rochester defenseman Shaw makes NCAA commitment

The Rochester Grizzlies, proud members of the North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL), are pleased to announce that defensemen Matthew Shaw has announced his commitment to continue his education and play NCAA Division III hockey at Marian University.
The 6’0/185 lbs. native of White Lake, Michigan, joined the Grizzlies during the 2021-22 season and become a staple on the defensive end for the eventual Fraser Cup Champions.
In 43 regular season games, Shaw put up impressive numbers as he had 8 goals and 19 assists for 27 points and had a +/- of +44. During the playoffs, Matthew did not slow down either, as he would collect 5 more assists to help the Grizzlies secure the franchise's first Fraser Cup National Championship in team history.
Marian University is a private Roman-Catholic University located in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. The Sabres compete at the NCAA DIII level and are members of the NCHA (Northern Collegiate Hockey Association).
