NA3HL announces Bauer Hockey Stars of the Week

The North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) today announced the Divisional Stars of the Week presented by Bauer Hockey for the week ending September 18, 2022. The Divisional Stars of the Week is an award given each week of the regular season to the top performing players in each of the five divisions of the NA3HL as nominated by their head coaches.

 

Central Division Star of the Week: Anthony Adleman, Goaltender, Oregon Tradesmen

Oregon Tradesmen Goaltender Anthony (AJ) Alderman was named Central Division Star of the week after not allowing a goal in two games. After being called in to relieve goaltender Tyler Fromolz in the third period, Aldeman stopped all 8 shots that came his way in the Tradesmen 4-1 loss to Peoria. In night two, Aldeman started the game and posted a 33 shot shutout in a 3-0 win over the Mustangs. In those two games, the Medford, WI native turned away all 41 shots he faced and combined for a 0.00 GAA and a 1.00 SV%.

East Division Star of the Week: Caiden Hess, Forward, Northeast Generals

Generals forward Caiden Hess totalled 6 points in the two games he appeared in over the weekend. In a weekend series against the Long Beach Sharks, Hess recorded a goal and assist in the Saturday 5-2 Generals win. In game two on Sunday, the Abington, MA native scored a hat-trick and handed out an assist for 5 points in the Generals 12-2 win.

2nd Star: Mike Arsenault, D, Northeast Generals

 

Frontier Division Star of the Week: Nick Bradshaw, Forward, Butte Cobras

Nick Bradshaw had a strong weekend for the Cobras as he totalled 6 points in two games. In a weekend series against the Sheridan Hawks, Bradshaw recorded a goal and assist in the Cobras 5-2 win. The following night, Bradshaw, who tallied 4 points (2G, 2A), assisted in the game tying goal late in the third period to force overtime, where the Cobras would take a 5-4 win. This season Bradshaw has appeared in 3 games and has combined for 6 points with 3 goals and 3 assists and a 2.00 PT/G average.

South Division Star of the Week: Austin Micale, Defense, Atlanta Capitals

Atlanta Capitals defenseman Austin Micale had a standout weekend as the blueliner accounted for 8 points including 1 goal and 7 assists in 3 games. Micale opened up the season with a three-in-three weekend set against the Mid-Cities Jr. Stars. In night one, the Hamilton, NJ native found himself on the scoresheet for his three helpers in a 5-2 win. Micale kept on the offensive side of the puck as he tallied 3 points with 1 goal and two assists as the Capitals topped the Stars, 10-2. In the final game of the weekend, Micale once again put numbers on the board helping with two goals and as the Capitals swept the Stars, 9-3. This season Micale currently is tied for first amongst all NA3HL Defenders in scoring with 8 points (1-7-8).

West Division Star of the Week: Kyle Mortenson, Defense, Granite City Lumberjacks

Defenseman Kyle Mortenson scored a hat-trick in the Lumberjacks first game of the season over the weekend. The Wayzata, MN native opened up the first period with a power-play goal getting the Lumberjacks a 1-0 lead. In the third period, the blueliner scored an unassisted goal followed by another power-play goal as the Lumberjacks took a 7-2 win over the Steel.
