Milwaukee goalie Northway called up to USHL

October 14, 2022

The Milwaukee Power of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that goaltender Spencer Northway has been called up to the Des Moines Buccaneers of the USHL. This is his second call up of the season to the USHL.

Northway, 20, is in his second season playing in the NA3HL for the Power. The 6’0/185 lbs. native of Ankeny, IA, is off to a great start so far during the 2022-23 season with a 3-1 record with a 1.48 goals against average and a .946 save percentage.

“We are happy for, and very proud of Spencer to have the opportunity to head back to the USHL. Advancing players is the goal of our organization. Regardless if it is the NAHL or the USHL, we continue to develop strong goaltending here in Milwaukee. This is Spencer’s second time with Des Moines and our hope is to see him secure a roster spot and potentially play in some games. We wish Spencer the best of luck and we know that he will compete and perform his best for the Des Moines Buccaneers,” said Kevin Marion, VP Hockey Operations/GM of the Milwaukee Power.

Northway played for Milwaukee during the 2021-22 season and posted a 12-13-2 record with a 3.20 goals against average and .917 save percentage.
