NA3HL announces Bauer Hockey Stars of the Week

November 29, 2022

The North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) today announced the Divisional Stars of the Week presented by Bauer Hockey for the week ending November 27, 2022. The Divisional Stars of the Week is an award given each week of the regular season to the top performing players in each of the five divisions of the NA3HL as nominated by their head coaches. 

 

Central Division Star of the Week: Patrick Toomey, Forward, Milwaukee Power

Patrick Toomey totalled 4 points in two games against the Peoria Mustangs. The Phoenix, AZ native added a goal and an assist in both showings and a +1 rating. Toomey leads the Power in scoring season playing in 23 games with 31 points having 18 goals and 13 assists. 

2nd Star: Walker Berner G, Oregon Tradesmen

Honorable Mention (alphabetical): Brett Holmer, G, Milwaukee Power – Tate Cothem, G, Rochester Grizzlies – Austin Meers, F, Rochester Grizzlies


East Division Star of the Week: Nolan Zotter, Forward, Northeast Generals 

Northeast Generals forward Nolan Zotter appeared in one game over the week in the East Division accumulating 3 points. The leading scorer of the Generals added to his 28 points this year with 3 points including 2 goals and 1 assists against the Norwich Sea Captains. 

 

Frontier Division Star of the Week: JP Johnson, Forward, Gillette Wild

JP Johnson put up big numbers in a two game showing totalling 8 points. In a two game set with the Bozeman Icedogs, Johnson added 3 assists in the first game followed by a 5 point night with 2 goals and 3 assists. Johnson leads the Frontier top-ranked Wild with 45 points (25G, 20A) in just 22 games played and is second in the NA3HL in scoring. 

2nd Star: Ryan McKenna, F, Sheridan Hawks

South Division Star of the Week: Evan Axell, Defenseman, New Mexico Ice Wolves

Ice Wolves forward Evan Axell appeared in two games and totaled 6 points in a weekend sweep against El Paso. In the opening night of the weekend series, Axell added a goal and two assists for the Ice Wolves. The following night, the Plymouth, MN native saw hats rain down onto the ice as he netted 3 goals. Axell has appeared in 17 games this season and has totalled 27 points with 12 goals and 15 assists and leads New Mexico in scoring.

West Division Star of the Week: Ryan Hadland, Forward, Alexandria Blizzard

Alexandria Blizzard forward Ryan Hadland put on a show in two games totalling 9 points. The Prior Lake, MN native started the weekend off red hot adding 6 points in 9-2 win over Wilmar with 2 goals and 4 assists. Hadland kept the offensive going into a showdown against New Ulm where he totalled 3 points with 1 goal and 2 assists. Hadland leads the Blizzard in points this season with 26 (12G, 14A) in 16 games played. 

2nd Star: Sean Kenny, F, Alexandria Blizzard
