NA3HL announces Bauer Hockey Stars of the Week

The North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) today announced the Divisional Stars of the Week presented by Bauer Hockey for the week ending December 4, 2022. The Divisional Stars of the Week is an award given each week of the regular season to the top performing players in each of the five divisions of the NA3HL as nominated by their head coaches. 

 

Central Division Star of the Week: Gus Immken, Forward, St. Louis Jr. Blues

Gus Immken totaled 4 points in the two games he appeared in over the weekend which earned him the Central Division Star of the Week. In a two-game series with the Wausau Cyclones, Immken netted two goals and added two helpers. Immken, a St. Louis, MO native, has played in 17 games this year and has recorded 7 goals and 10 assists, averaging a point per game. 

2nd Star: Jacob Heurman, F, St. Louis Jr. Blues

East Division Star of the Week: Gabe Coppo Forward, Northeast Generals 

Northeast Generals forward Gabe Coppo added 5 goals in 3 games to claim this week’s East Division Star. In the opening game of the weekend, Coppo netted a goal, followed by back-to-back games scoring twice. The Calumet, MI native has played in 8 games this season and has recorded 9 points. 

2nd Star: Davis Kinne, D, Northeast Generals

Frontier Division Star of the Week: Ryan McKenna, Forward, Sheridan Hawks

Sheridan Hawks forward, Ryan McKenna, earned the Frontier Division Star of the Week honor after his two-game performance of combining for 6 points. The Spokane, WA native came to play in a weekend series against the Bozeman Ice Dogs as he recorded 2 goals and 3 assists in the opening game of the weekend, followed by a 3-point night with 2 goals and an assist. McKenna leads the Hawks this season with 49 points in 24 games played and is ranked 2nd in the NA3HL in scoring. 

2nd Star: Parker Norling, F, Sheridan Hawks

South Division Star of the Week: Tyler Love, Forward, Texas RoadRunners

Tyler Love was red hot in all 3 games he appeared in, combining for 8 points. In a three-game set with the Mid Cities Stars, Love added 6 goals and 2 assists while maintaining a +6 rating. The San Ramon, CA native has appeared in 19 games this season and is a 1.58 PT/G with 19 goals and 11 assists.

West Division Star of the Week: Michael D’Orazio, Goalie, Willmar WarHawks

Michael D’Orazio was perfect in the two games he appeared in over the weekend going 2-0 which included a shutout. D’Orazio, a Beaconsfield, Quebec native, has played in two NA3HL games this season and is perfect with a 2-0 record. In a weekend series with New Ulm, D’Orazio faced 72 shots stopping 69 of them, posted a 38-shot shutout win, then followed that up with a tremendous effort in net allowing 3 goals but taking the win with a 2.90 GAA and a.912 SV%. D’Orazio currently holds a 1.47 GAA and a .958 SV% in his NA3HL career. 

2nd Star: Carter Newpower, F, Mason City Toros
