NA3HL announces Bauer Hockey Stars of the Week

The North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) today announced the Divisional Stars of the Week presented by Bauer Hockey for the week ending January 22, 2023. The Divisional Stars of the Week is an award given each week of the regular season to the top performing players in each of the five divisions of the NA3HL as nominated by their head coaches.
Central Division Star of the Week: Erik Hernborn, Forward, Rochester Grizzlies
Erik Hernborn received the Central Division Star of the Week honors after his two game performance totalling 3 points. Hernnborn added a goal in his first showing, followed up by a 2 point night with a goal and an assist. The Sollentuna, Sweden native has played in 29 games this season where he has totalled 21 points.

East Division Star of the Week: Nick Rogers, Forward, Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks
Danbury forward Nick Rogers added 6 points in the two games. Rogers added 4 goals in a 6-5 OT loss to Norwich, which included a late goal to force the extra frame. In his next game, the Broad Channel, NY native added a goal and an assist. Rogers has played in 14 games with Danbury this year where he has combined for 13 points.

Frontier Division Star of the Week: Ryan Hipsag, Forward, Gillette Wild
Gillette Wild forward Ryan Hipsag put on a show on home ice after adding 4 points and helping the Wild to a weekend Sweep. Hipsag, a Gillete native, added two goals, including a power-play goal, in night one followed up by a two point game with a goal and an assist. This season, Hipsag has played in 31 games and has totalled 25 points with 12 goals and 13 assists.

South Division Star of the Week: Jo Kawagishi, Forward, New Mexico Ice Wolves
Ice Wolves forward Joe Kawagishi put up big time numbers in a three game showing as he combined for 9 points. Kawagishi opened up game one of the weekend with a hat-trick which included a power-play goal. In game two, Kawagishi netted two goals and then finished the weekend in game three with a 2 goal and 2 assist night. Kawagishi, a native of Amoari, Japan, has played in 27 games totalling 33 points with 20 goals and 13 assists.

West Division Star of the Week: Kyle Mortenson, Defenseman, Granite City Lumberjacks
Defenseman Kyle Mortenson totalled 6 points in two games to earn the West Division Star of the Week. In a showdown with the Mustangs, Mortenson totalled 5 points with 1 goal and 4 assists. The following night, the blue-liner added a goal. This season, the Wayzata, MN native has totalled 32 points in 32 games.
