NA3HL announces Bauer Hockey Stars of the Week

January 31, 2023

The North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) today announced the Divisional Stars of the Week presented by Bauer Hockey for the week ending January 29, 2023. The Divisional Stars of the Week is an award given each week of the regular season to the top performing players in each of the five divisions of the NA3HL as nominated by their head coaches. 

 

Central Division Star of the Week: Ricky Nelson, Forward, Wausau Cyclones

Nelson was exceptional in a two-game showing where he totalled 6 points. Over those two-games, Nelson added 2 goals and 4 assists. In each contest, the Edina, MN native mirrored the score sheet adding 1 goal and dishing out two assists. Nelson has appeared in 35 games for the Cyclones this season where he’s totalled 37 points with 15 goals and 22 assists. 

2nd Star: Dayne Deanovich, F, Oregon Tradesmen

Honorable Mention (alphabetical): Ryan Berglund, F, Rochester Grizzlies – Blake Keller, F, Milwaukee Power – Austin Meers, F, Rochester Grizzlies

 

East Division Star of the Week: Zac Kretzschmer, Forward, Long Beach Sharks

Long Beach Sharks forward Zac Kretzschmer put up big numbers on the scoresheet over two games as he recorded a total of 6 points. The Sharks forward had a 4 point night in his first showing of the weekend adding two goals and two assists. The following night, Kretzschmer netted a goal and handed out an assist. The BayPort, MI native has totalled 29 points in 36 games played so far this season. 

2nd Star: Jack Fitzpatrick, F, Long Beach Sharks

Frontier Division Star of the Week: Adam Severson, Forward, Gillette Wild

Gillette Forward Adam Severson found his name on the scoresheet 6 different times after helping the Wild to back to back wins. In a two game series with the Butte Cobras, Severson added 4 points with 1 goal and 3 assists then followed up closing out the weekend with a 2 assist game to total 6 points on the weekend. The Roseau, MN native has recorded 47 points in 31 games this season.

South Division Star of the Week: Nick Jameus, Forward, Atlanta Capitals

Atlanta Capitals forward Nick Jameus handed out seven assists in two games to earn the South Division Star of the Week. Jameus, who leads the Capitals and the entire NA3HL in scoring with 88 points, dished out seven helpers in two wins against Austin over the weekend. Jameus, a native of Sault Ste Marie, Ontario has played in 39 games where he has scored 19 goals and handed out 69 assists. 

2nd Star: Michael Imala, F, Texas Brahmas

West Division Star of the Week: Lyncoln Bielenberg-Howarth, Forward, Granite City Lumberjacks

Lumberjacks forward Lyncoln Bielenberg-Howarth added 6 points in the three games he played in. Bielenberg-Howarth netted two goals and handed out four helpers to total six points. This season, Bielenberg-Howarth has spent 9 games with the Lumberjacks, where he has totalled 10 points with 3 goals and 7 assists.

2nd Star: Hudson Zinda, F, Willmar WarHawks
