Toros extend win streak to nine

Mason City 5 @ Willmar 4 – Five different players scored for the Toros in a 5-4 road win over the WarHawks on Thursday night.
The game was tied at 1-1 after the 1st period with Zachary Laurila scoring for Mason City and Spencer Bergman answering for Willmar.
In the 2nd period, the Toros seized control with three goals, including one from Hogan and others from Carter Newpower and Cal Levis III, while Spencer Bergman scored for Willmar to make it 4-2.
In the 3rd period, the WarHawks tried to mount a comeback with a pair of goals from Christian Kankelfrtitz, but the Toros game-winner would come from Marcus Fritel.
Will Kunka made 29 saves in the win, while Zackary Ortolano made 32 saves in the loss.
