Generals, Brahmas claim wins in Game 1's
East Division Finals, Game 1: Danbury 2 @ Northeast 12 (Northeast leads series, 1-0) - Nolan Zotter had a hat-trick and an assist to lead the Generals to a convincing 12-2 win in Game 1 of the East Finals. The Generals jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the 1st period with goals from Zotter, Matthew Nuzzolilo, Caiden Hess, and Phil Feinberg. Danbury made it 4-1 late in the 1st period with a goal from Sam Levin. In the 2nd period, the Generals added four more goals including another from Zotter and others from Sean Gorman, Henry Wilson, and Michael Locke. In the 3rd period, the Generals poured it on with four more goals from Zotter, McCarthy Reed, Davis Kinne, and Gabe Coppo. Seth Beagle had the other goal for the Jr. Hat Tricks. Luke Fundator made 14 saves in the win, while Braden Henderson made 46 saves in the loss.
South Division Finals, New Mexico 3 @ TX Brahmas 6 (Texas leads series, 1-0) – Six different players scored for the Brahmas as they claimed a 6-3 win over New Mexico in Game 1 of the South Finals. Texas jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the 1st period with goals from Gage Vierzba, Wyatt Witham, and Michael Imala. The Ice Wolves stormed back with three straight goals from Jaden Stiller and two from Ryan Talorico. The Brahmas would then pull away with three more goals from Beau Kralovec, Alexander Cagan, and Trent Barker. Brendan Forden made 21 saves in the win, while Pierson Haslet took the loss with 17 saves.
