Alexandria forward Kenny makes NCAA commitment

Sean Kenny finishes his NA3HL career with 177 points, which ranks in the Top 30 all-time.

The Alexandria Blizzard of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that forward Sean Kenny has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for Alvernia University.

Kenny, 20, just completed his fourth season playing junior hockey in the NA3HL. The 5’10/180 lbs. native of Sparta, NJ, had another great season during the 2022-23 campaign, recording 49 points (18 goals, 31 assists) in just 32 regular season games. He added 11 points in nine Fraser Cup Playoff games as the Blizzard won the West Division Playoff title and made it all the way to the Robertson Cup title game.

Kenny was not only selected to and played in the 2023 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament for Team West, but he also made his NAHL debut on January 27, 2023 with the Bismarck Bobcats where he also scored a goal.

During the 2021-22 season, Kenny appeared in 46 regular season games with the Blizzard and recorded 49 points (13 goals, 36 assists). He was also selected to and played in the 2022 NA3HL Top Prospects Tournament where he had two goals.

He began his junior career in the NA3HL with the Skylands Kings during the 2019-20 season. In his rookie season, he recorded 51 points in 46 games played.

The next season with Alexandria in 2020-21, he put up 28 points in 39 games played.

Kenny finishes his career with 177 career NA3HL points, which ranks 28th all-time.
