Alexandria forward Kingery signs NAHL tender

The Alexandria Blizzard of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that forward Justin Kingery has signed an NAHL tender agreement with the Johnstown Tomahawks of the NAHL’s East Division.

Kingery, 19, just completed his first season in the NA3HL. The Prior Lake, Minnesota native played 14 games for the Blizzard throughout the regular season, tallying 6 goals and 3 assists for 9 points.

Kingery also played a big role in Alexandria’s run to the Fraser Cup Championship, recording 2 goals and 2 assists in 8 playoff games. 

The 5’11/190 lbs. forward also played 9 games in the NAHL for the Springfield Jr. Blues this past season. He made his NAHL debut on the 15th of September against the Austin Bruins and scored his first goal against the New Jersey Titans two days later. 

Prior to playing junior hockey, Kingery played three years for Prior Lake High School. He also was a member of the Fairbanks Ice Dogs Prospects Challenge and NAPHL Fall League teams in the 2021-2022 season.

A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders, which include two (2) tenders exclusively used on players from the NA3HL - plus or minus any trades - which became active on November 1st. Tendered players are not eligible for the 2023 NAHL Draft.
