Sheridan goalie Buckley makes NCAA commitment

The Sheridan Hawks of the NA3HL are excited to announce that goaltender Bo Buckley has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for St. Norbert College.

Buckley, 21, a Green Bay, WI native, joined the Hawks for the 2021-22 season, where he had a great personal year during the difficult winter for the team, with an incredible 356 saves in 10 games on the ice.  

As an example of his skills, Buckley stopped the puck on 45 of 47 shots for a SV% of 0.957 during one stellar performance.  

Buckley’s 2022-23 season was unfortunately cut short by a lower body injury. The 6’0/190 lbs. netminder had an amazing 177 saves on 189 shots in 4 games for a 0.937 SV%, securing a 4-0 record. 

While with the Hawks, Buckley’s prowess in the net and work ethic also earned him the opportunity for a spot on the NAHL’s Janesville Jets roster, and to play with the Green Bay Gamblers in the USHL.  

Prior to his junior hockey experience, Buckley played for the Notre Dame Academy where his senior year he had a 16-1-1 regular season and 4-1 post season record with a SV% of 0.938.

Buckley now joins the Saint Norbert Green Knights hockey program, located in De Pere, WI.  The Green Knights play in the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association conference.  Since joining the NCHA for the 1994-95 season, St. Norbert has claimed five NCAA Division III national championships, played in 12 NCAA Division III Frozen Fours, won 16 NCHA titles and 15 NCHA playoff championships.
