NA3HL announces Bauer Hockey Stars of the Week

September 19, 2023

The North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) today announced the Divisional Stars of the Week presented by Bauer Hockey for the week ending September 17, 2023. The Divisional Stars of the Week is an award given each week of the regular season to the top performing players in each of the five divisions of the NA3HL as nominated by their head coaches. There is no South Division Star this week. 

 

Central Division Star of the Week: Blake Mitchell, Forward, Peoria Mustangs

Blake Mitchell kicked off the 2023-24 season with a bang totalling 6 points in two games for the Mustangs. The East Peoria, IL native opened up the first game of the season with two goals. The following night, the 5’11”/175 lbs forward netted a hat-trick and handed out an assist for a 4 point night helping the Mustangs go 2-0 on the season and a weekend sweep over St. Louis. 

2nd Star: Dylan Posch, G, Oregon Tradesmen

Honorable Mention (alphabetical): Andrew Butler, F, West Bend Power – Cole Fenske, F, West Bend Power

 

East Division Star of the Week: William Fliss, Forward, New Jersey Titans

Titans forward William Fliss totalled 5 points in two games, including an overtime winner to earn the East Division Star of the Week. The Tampa, FL native netted two goals and added an assist in the season opener for New Jersey. In game two of the weekend, Fliss followed up by adding an overtime goal to get the Titans a perfect 2-0 record to kick off the year. 

2nd Star: Kenny Granacker, F, Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks

Honorable Mention (alphabetical): Zach Gershner, D, New Jersey Titans – Brody Trew, F, Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks


Frontier Division Star of the Week: Chris Porciuncula, Forward, Bozeman Icedogs

Icedogs forward Chris Porciuncula totaled 5 points in one game to earn the Frontier Division Star of the Week. The second year player for the Icedogs scored two goals and handed out three assists in the Icedogs win over the Sheridan Hawks. 

2nd Star: Patrick Crooks, F, Butte Irish

Honorable Mention (alphabetical): Braylon Rogers, G, Butte Irish – Bryce Sturm, D, Bozeman Icedogs

 

South Division Star of the Week: No Games

 

West Division Star of the Week: Easton Tok, Defenseman, Mason City Toros

Mason City Toros Defenseman Easton Tok earned the West Division Star of the week after adding 3 points on the year in two games. The Eau Claire, WI native added three assists in two games in the Toros weekend split against the Minnesota Loons. 

2nd Star: Sam Schowalter, G, Granite City Lumberjacks
