Rochester defenseman Petzke makes NCAA commitment

The Rochester Grizzlies of the NA3HL are pleased to announce that defenseman Ty Petzke has committed to play NCAA Division III hockey for Concordia University-Wisconsin.

Petzke, 20, is currently in his second and final season of junior hockey in the NA3HL with the Grizzlies. The 5’8/150 lbs. native of Sheboygan, WI, is off to a great start so far during the 2023-24 season with nine points (3 goals, 6 assists) in his first seven games.

Petzke was named the West Division Star of the Week for September 25-October 1 thanks to a six-point weekend in two wins.

During the 2022-23 season, he put up 24 points in 44 games played.

Prior to playing in the NA3HL, Petzke did spend some time in the NAPHL with the Janesville Jets 16U team during the 2019-20 season.
