Friday Finals: Cyclones stay hot with win over rival Tradesmen

Wausau goalie Collin Lemanski made 40 saves in a 4-2 win on Friday.

Oregon 2 @ Wausau 4 – The Cyclones got 40 saves from Collin Lemanski as they stayed hot with a 4-2 win over rival Oregon. Dominick Bourdon scored twice for Wausau and Connor Dvorak and Isaac Baker also added goals in the win. Mitchell Berens and Zak Molstad scored for Oregon in the loss.

Austin 1 @ TX Brahmas 7 – Joey Crowley recorded two goals and two assists to lead the Brahmas to a 7-1 win over Austin. Ryan Spreyne also scored twice and Chase Forry, Cameron Colberg, and Grant Baker also scored for the Brahmas. Arys Perardi had the lone goal for the Ice Bats. Luke Romney made 14 saves in the win.

Minnesota 2 @ Alexandria 3 – The Blizzard fought off a determined Loons squad on Friday, 3-2. Justin Wasvick, Tyler Kludt, and Eli Fletcher scored for the Blizzard in the win, while George Moore and Kyler Couture scored for the Loons in the loss. Jayden Serene made 14 saves in the win, while Loons goalie Alex Harden played well in the loss, stopping 48 of 51 shots.

Willmar 4 @ Mason City 5 – The Toros jumped out to a 4-1 lead and held off a late WarHawks surge to win 5-4. Luke Robertson had a pair of goals for the Toros and David Loahr, Zach Laurila, and Miles Berg also scored in the win. Michael Montague scored the first two goals for Willmar and Hudson Zinda and Nik Johnson also scored in the loss. Drew Blake picked up the win in goal, making 36 saves.

Peoria 0 @ West Bend 4 – Power goalie Walker Berner stopped all 17 shots that came his way as West Bend blanked Peoria, 4-0. Owen Drake scored in the 1st period, Cole Fenske added a 2nd period goal, and Andrew Butler and Connor O’Neal scored in the 3rd period. Kason Yamada made 32 saves for the Mustangs in the loss.

Butte 3 @ Great Falls 4 – The Americans got 29 saves from Kaden Ryhder as they won their 3rd straight game with a 4-3 win over the Irish. Masen Kerr, Dmitri Kuleshov, Tariq Khan, and Ty O’Bey scored for the Americans in the win. Kazden Stineff had two goals and Andrew Browe also scored in the loss.

Badlands 3 @ Gillette 5 – The Wild erased a 3-1 deficit to score the final four goal of the game in a 5-3 home win over the Sabres. After Adam Severson opened the scoring for Gillette, the Sabres took a 3-1 lead with goals from Ian Vannelli, Benjamen Larson, and Thayne Coston. The Wild responded with four straight goals from Zach Lebens, Davis Paulsen, Ryan Hipsag, and another from Severson to secure their 15th straight win.

Yellowstone 2 @ Sheridan 5 – The Hawks scored four goals in the 2nd period to beat the visiting Quake, 5-2. Tanner Freed had two goals for the Hawks and McCaffrey Billings, Daniil Viscu, and Elijah White also scored in the win. Carter Tymchak and Collin Goodman scored for the Quake in the loss. Aidan Knox made 27 saves in the win, while Ben Delisi made 41 saves in the loss.

Helena 7 @ Bozeman 4 – Six different players scored for the Bighorns in a 7-4 road win in Bozeman on Friday. Braden Cunningham had two goals for Helena and Jakob Losch, Finn Theriault, Trey Pareja, Tim Mattingly, and Ty Moore also scored in the win. The Icedogs got goals from Bodie Shepardson, Braden Koliha, Sam Ingram, and Casey Sturm in the loss. Alex Lamont made 15 saves in the win.
