Friday Finals: Brahmas take over top spot in South with win

Long Beach forward Matthew Bellopede had two goals and an assist in a 6-2 win on Friday.

Texas Brahmas 2 @ Texas RoadRunners 1: In the first period the Texas Brahmas scored two goals by Max Brooks, and Troy Carson making the score 2-0. In the second period, the Texas RoadRunners scored a goal by Porter Wolk making the score 2-1. After a slow third period, the final score is 2-1. Brendan Forden saved 15 shots for the win, while Krzysztof Jakubowski saved 24 shots in the loss.

After a slow second period, we headed into the third where the Norwich Sea Captains scored a goal by Kam Young making the score 2-2. In the shootout, the goal goes to the Norwich Sea Captains, making the final score 3-2. Noah Behrens saved 21 shots for the win, while Jack Agoglia saved 31 shots in the loss.

Austin Ice Bats 4 @ Atlanta Capitals 8: Starting the night both teams scored a goal for the Austin Ice Bats it was Sebastian Hale, and for the Atlanta Capitals it was Aidan Besedic making the score 1-1. In the second period, the Austin Ice Bats scored a goal by Sebastian Hale, and four goals for the Atlanta Capitals scored by Dylan Wolf, two by Ben Reimer, and one by Aidan Besedic making the score 5-2. Mid Cities Jr Stars 0 @ New Mexico Ice Wolves 12: In the third period the New Mexico Ice Wolves scored three goals two by Trey Erramouspe, and one by Ethan Secord making the score 3-0. In the second period, the New Mexico Ice Wolves scored one goal by Edward Gregorin making the score 4-0. In the third period, the New Mexico Ice Wolves scored eight goals scored by Stanley Hubbard, two by Zak Wentworth,and one by Trey Erramouspe giving him the only Hat Trick of the night, Braeden Whitesell, Jack Arnold, Spencer Lund, and Bode Ensign making the final score 12-0. Pierson Haislet saved 6 shots for the win and the shutout, while Luke Anderson saved 63 shots and Jack Elliott saved 2 shots in the loss.

Wausau Cyclones 4 @ Wisconsin Woodsmen 3: Starting off the night with a slow first period, heading into the second period, the Wausau Cyclones scored a goal by Ricky Nelson, and one goal for the Wisconsin Woodsmen scored by Hunter Nelson making the score 1-1. In the third period, the Wausau Cyclones scored three goals by Ricky Nelson, Jack Dawley, and Dylan Chapman, and two goals for the Wisconsin Woodsmen scored by Hugh Deninema, and Daniels Ratkevics making the score 4-3. Collin Lemanski saved 35 shots for the win, while Ryan Hacker saved 19 shots in the loss.
