NA3HL announces Bauer Hockey Stars of the Week

The North American 3 Hockey League (NA3HL) today announced the Divisional Stars of the Week presented by Bauer Hockey for the week ending December 31, 2023. The Divisional Stars of the Week is an award given each week of the regular season to the top performing players in each of the five divisions of the NA3HL as nominated by their head coaches. 

 

Central Division Star of the Week: Connor Dvorak, Forward, Wausau Cyclones

Wausau forward Connor Dvorak was instrumental in the Cyclones push to hold the first place spot in the Central Division after a strong four game showing. The Saginaw, MI native netted two goals and handed out eight assists helping the Cyclones pick up four straight wins. This season Dvorak has played in 31 games where he has combined for 45 points with 17 goals and 28 assists. 

2nd Star: Kirill Gurev, G, Wisconsin Woodsmen

Honorable Mention (alphabetical): Hugh Deninema, F, Wisconsin Woodsmen – Will Falconer, D, Oregon Tradesmen – Dylan Posch, G, Oregon Tradesmen – Gabe Randel, F, Wausau Cyclones 

 

Frontier Division Star of the Week: Braden Cunningham, Forward, Helena Bighorns

Bighorns forward Braden Cunningham totalled 5 points in two games to earn the Frontier Division Star of the Week. The Helena, MT native posted two assists in the opening game of the weekend, then followed that up with a three point night with two goals and an assist. So far this year, Cunningham has played in 26 games where he has scored 24 goals and dished out 17 assists for 41 points. 

2nd Star: Patrick Crooks, F, Butte Irish

Honorable Mention (alphabetical): Gavin Barr, F, Helena Bighorns – Braylon Rogers, G, Butte Irish

 

West Division Star of the Week: Aiden Prochaska, Defense, Alexandria Blizzard

Alexandria Defenseman Aiden Prochaska posted four points over two games, earning the West Division Star of the Week honors. The Mankato, MN native added three assists in his fist showing in a two game set against Mason City. In the following contest, the blue-liner added a goal helping the Blizzard pick up their seventh straight win. Prochaska has appeared in 27 games this season, totalling 15 points. 

2nd Star: Owen Van Tassel, F, Rochester Grizzlies
