Alexandria, Norwich, New Jersey all win on Wednesday
Minnesota 2 @ Alexandria 8 – Joe Gronholz had two goals and two assists as the Blizzard won their 10th straight game thanks to an 8-2 win over the Loons. Alexandria jumped out to a 4-0 lead with goals from Justin Wasvick, Ashton Collings, Markus Olson, and Reece Hubmer. Both Loons goals came in the 3rd period from Anthony Launderville and Josh Serino, but the Blizzard responded with four more goals, including two from Gronholz, and others from Parker Anthony and Eli Fletcher. Jayden Serene made 13 saves in the win.
Norwich 3 @ New Hampshire 2 – The Sea Captains scored three goals in the 3rd period to come from behind and beat the Jr. Mountain Kings, 3-2. New Hampshire led 2-0 after two periods thanks to 2nd period goals from Leonardo Kahlhammer and Jory Veenstra. In the 3rd period, Norwich came from behind with three goals from Sava Makarenko, Brian Essing, and Tim Hayden to pick up the 3-2 win. Peter Alfano made 28 saves in the win, while AJ Cooper made 21 saves in the loss.
Long Beach 4 @ New Jersey 5 – Egor Sobolev and Fionn Thomann each scored two goals as New Jersey edged the Sharks on Wednesday, 5-4. New Jersey jumped out to a 4-1 lead with two goals from Sobolev, one from Thomann and one from Grant Coykendall. Thomann would add the game-winner in the 3rd period. The Sharks got goals from Ryan Long, Sam O’Neil, Nolan Nemecek, and Colin McPherren. Aidan Patterson made 36 saves in the win.
