Sunday Wrap-Up: Grizzlies roll to 5th straight win

New Mexico forward Braeden Whitesell had five points in a three-game weekend sweep of the Texas Brahmas.

Mason City Toros 2 @ Rochester Grizzlies 6: In the first period the Mason City Toros scored a goal by Miles Berg, and two goals for the Rochester Grizzlies scored by Luke Sawicky, and Owen Van Tassel making the score 2-1. In the second period, the Mason City Toros scored a goal by Jax Schauer, and two goals for the Rochester Grizzlies scored by Owen Van Tassel, and Duke Boccardi making the score 4-2. In the third period, the Rochester Grizzlies scored two goals by Luke Sawicky, and Cael Knutson making the final score 6-2. Nick Kurtiak saved 34 shots for the win, while Devin Peck saved 28 shots in the loss.  

Texas Brahmas 2 @ New Mexico Ice Wolves 4: In the first period the New Mexico Ice Wolves scored two goals by Liam Mooney, and Ian Mohr making the score 2-0. In the second period, the New Mexico Ice Wolves scored a goal by Braeden Whitesell, and one goal for the Texas Brahmas scored by Kaden Spaniol making the score 3-1. In the third period, the New Mexico Ice Wolves scored a goal by Zak Wentworth and one goal for the Texas Brahmas scored by Jake Malzone making the final score 4-2. Owen Zenone saved 26 shots for the win, while Luke Romney saved 26 shots in the loss.  

Louisiana Drillers 5 @ Atlanta Capitals 2: In the first period the Louisiana Drillers scored two goals by Cheeno Gryska, and Johnathon Berndt making the score 2-0. In the second period, the Louisiana Drillers scored a goal by Alex Boyd making the score 3-0. In the third period, the Louisiana Drillers scored two goals by Jake Bergstrom, and Brody Neish, and two goals for the Atlanta Capitals both scored by Anthony O’Neal making the final score 5-2. Sebastian Thome saved 22 shots for the win, while Hayden Laforet saved 26 shots in the loss. 

St Louis Jr Blues 1 @ Wisconsin Woodsmen 3: After a slow first period we headed into the second period, where the Wisconsin Woodsmen scored two goals by Nolan James Mix, and Hugh Deninema making the score 2-0. In the third period, the Wisconsin Woodsmen scored a goal by Hugh Deninema, and one goal for the St Louis Jr Blues scored by Matthew Jost making the final score 3-1. Steven Kelley saved 25 shots for the win, while Matyas Bajgar saved 47 shots in the loss. 

Northeast Generals 3 @ Long Beach Sharks 2 (OT): In the first period the Northeast Generals scored two goals by Gabe Vijuk, and Drew Vermette making the score 2-0. In the second period, the Long Beach Sharks scored two goals by Mason Jackson, and Colin McPherren making the score 2-2. After a slow third period, we headed into overtime where Mason Fray Scored for the Northeast Generals making the final score 3-2. Ian Kangas saved 9 shots for the win, while Colten Mclntyre saved 25 shots in the loss.
