St. Louis forward Guidorzi signs NAHL tender
The St. Louis Jr. Blues, proud members of the NA3HL, are pleased to announce that regular season leading scorer, Cody Guidorzi, has signed a tender with the Port Huron Fighting Falcons of the NAHL for next season.
Guidorzi finished the regular season with 54 points in 44 games. Head coach J.P. Beilsten said, "Cody told me this weekend that he had decided to sign with Port Huron. He had several opportunities to tender this year but decided to sign with the Fighting Falcons."
Guidorzi said, "I liked what the coaching staff had to say. I feel like this is a situation that will allow me to go to camp and make the team and be a productive member of the team."
Beilsten continued, "We are excited for Cody. We didn't know how special of a player we were getting in Cody. He had been hampered by injuries last year, so he didn't really have the chance to showcase what he can do. This year he did. He is going to a good team with a good track record of moving players, especially in the last couple of years."
Guidorzi is second in team scoring in the playoffs with 6 points in 3 games.

A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders, which includes one tender exclusively used on players from the NA3HL - plus or minus any trades - which become active on Nov. 1. Tendered players are not eligible for the NAHL draft, which will be held on June 4, 2013.
