Sugar Land Imperials 1 @ Flint Junior Generals 9: Mark McGee had his best game of the season as he scored two goals and added three assists to pace the Flint Junior Generals to a 9-1 lead over the Sugar Land Imperials. Both teams tallied in the 1st period and ended the period in a 1-1 deadlock. The Flint Junior Generals hit the ice for the final two periods and brought their potent offense with them scoring eight unanswered goals. In addition to McGee’s breakout game the Junior Generals received four points from Trevor Benaglio and Justin Fisher. Colton Anderson was in net for Sugar Land and stopped 40 shots fired his way. Chicago Junior Bulldogs 4 @ Pittsburgh Vengeance 3 (OT): The Chicago Junior Bulldogs had to come back from a two-goal deficit to stun the Pittsburgh Vengeance in overtime. Tyler Dalton played a huge part in the Junior Bulldogs comeback as he scored the game tying and game winning goals with the game winner coming at 1:28 into the extra frame. Matt Kostopoulos had a solid game offensively for Chicago scoring a goal and two assists including one on the goal in overtime. Tyler Speis tallied twice for the Pittsburgh Vengeance. Boxscore

Toledo Cherokee 2 @ North Iowa Bulls 10: Richie Marenis and Timothy Santopoalo continued their record breaking scoring pace as they scored four and three points, respectively, in the North Iowa win. Santopoalo and Marenis are 1 & 2 in scoring and are running away from the rest of the NA3HL. The two teams were tied after the first but it was North Iowa who came out of the locker room hot and scored five of their eight unanswered goals in the 2nd period. Toledo scored the goals within a 20 second time frame in the first period, as Tyler Nieow struck first followed by Zach Armstrong. The North Iowa Bulls have now improved their record to 17-0-0 on the season. Boxscore

Granite City Lumberjacks 3 @ Wisconsin Whalers 4: Two Jason Hoehn 3rd period power play goals were the difference for the Wisconsin Whalers as they defeated the Granite City Lumberjacks. The final frame started with the teams tied at 2 and it was on to Hoehn converting on two chances that gave Wisconsin their third win of the weekend. Drew Otto got his 2nd goal of the night on the empty net but the Granite City comeback attempt came up just short. Boxscore

Topeka Capitals 6 @ Michigan Mountain Cats 1: Yu Hikosaka scored his first hat trick of the season as his offense powered the Topeka Capitals to a victory over the Michigan Mountain Cats. Hikosaka found the back of the net on the power play in the 1st period to open the scoring for both teams. Michigan forward John Arms struck back on the power play later in the period and cut the lead to 2-1 but it was an unassisted effort from Hikosaka to give Topeka the two-goal lead and the momentum for the rest of the game. Battle Creek Jr. Revolution 0 @ Dallas Jr. Stars 4: Robert Gervino scored three points and Steffan Muller stopped 20 shots to earn his first shutout of the season as the Dallas Jr. Stars defeated the Battle Creek Jr. Revolution. The Dallas Jr. Stars were deadly on the power play as they scored three of their four goals with the man advantage. With the win the Jr. Stars start a win streak picking up their second in a row. After winning their first game yesterday Battle Creek ends up back in the loss column but still received a great effort from goalie Tyler Babinski, who stopped 32 shots in the loss. Boxscore

Breezy Point North Stars 1 @ St. Louis Jr. Blues 3: St. Louis defenseman Kyle Meeh scored a goal and an assist and the St. Louis Jr. Blues scored three unanswered goals to beat Breezy Point. Spencer Sabourin scored the opening goal of the game just 58 seconds into the game to give the North Stars an early 1-0 lead. The Jr. Blues then responded with a goal in each period and each goal came in the final five minutes of the period. St. Louis goaltender Cooper Cothran stood on his head in the crease stopping 36 shots for his second win of the season. Boxscore

Cincinnati Swords 5 @ Minnesota Flying Aces 6 (SO): Eric Cruickshank scored two goals, added an assist and scored in the shootout as the Minnesota Flying Aces pulled out a back and forth game with the Cincinnati Swords. A high scoring opening period had the Swords leading 3-2 when the buzzer sounded for intermission and made the lead two after a Thomas Clayton goal to open the 2nd period. The Flying Aces finished the middle frame strong as Cruickshank and Eric Rogorzenski scored late in the period to tie the game up. The two teams traded goals in the final frame and the game was off to overtime. The extra frame ended with nothing settled so off to the shootout where it was Cruickshank and Jake Mullendore getting goals to win the game for Minnesota. Boxscore

Twin City Steel 4 @ Metro Jets 3: The Twin City Steel had a huge 3rd period scoring three straight goals to come from behind and steal a victory from the Metro Jets. Goals from Kyle Downey, Cooper McLean and Cody Jones had the Metro Jets up by a score of 3-1 going into the last period but a spirited come from behind effort with two goals from Calvin Miska and a one-timer rocket on the power play from Tyler Lodin helped Twin City pull out the victory. Steel goaltender Thomas Terrance stopped 32 shots and picked up the W. Boxscore

Cleveland Jr. Lumberjacks 2 @ Alexandria Blizzard 6: Three goals in the beginning and ending periods provided all the offense the Alexandria Blizzard needed in their win over the Cleveland Jr. Lumberjacks. Three Blizzard players, Ian Ecklund, Aaron Ryback and Jake Maxson, had multi-point games and goaltender Evan Bisek stopped 31 shots for the victory. Jared Johnson picked up a power play goal for Cleveland giving him 39 points on the night, which is good enough to be in the top three of the NA3HL leading scorers. Boxscore
